Bryce Fullwood to drive Mustang in Hi-Tec Oils APC Enduro Championship

Supercars driver Bryce Fullwood will swap Chevrolet Camaro for Ford Mustang when he contests the 2025 Hi-Tec Oils APC Enduro Championship.

After recently making his debut at the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour, Fullwood will add the four-round Hi-Tec Oils APC Enduro Championship to his schedule sharing the Ultimate Diesel Tuning Ford Mustang with Trent Whyte.

The Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour provided a moderately successful debut for Fullwood and Whyte after qualifying sixth in A2, the duo finished fourth in class whetting the appetite for more production car competition this season.

Bringing plenty of experience to the table, Fullwood is a previous winner of the Super2 Series in 2019 and is currently undertaking his sixth full-time Supercars season. He is a two-time podium winner in Supercars competition and finished a best of 11th in the 2023 standings.

Just like its road-going companion, the Ford Mustang has become a popular choice for production car competitors and has proved a worthy contender to the dominant BMW models of recent times.

The freshly relaunched Hi-Tec Oils APC Enduro Championship will contest rounds at Sydney Motorsport Park, twice at Queensland Raceway and Winton as part of the AASA’s premier Hi-Tec Oils Super Series program.

The opening round for the Hi-Tec Oils APC Enduro Championship will be at Sydney Motorsport Park on May 30-31.

“The Bathurst 6 Hour was a heap of fun,” said Fullwood.

“I actually hadn’t done that event before. I had been dabbling in a bit of production car stuff with Trent and it’s a really cool series. I’ve been having a lot of fun with it and the cars are really cool.

“We had a lot of fun at Bathurst and though the race didn’t exactly go our way, the speed was actually quite good. The crew did a great job, so I’m keen to do a bit more of it and enjoy some good, fun racing.

“It’s almost like a mini Supercars weekend. We’ve got some short and long races going on, and I think it’s cool. A lot of the production car guys are getting a lot of laps and there aren’t a lot of other categories doing longer format races like that. It feels like a proper race, with refueling stops and driver changes, which is pretty cool.

“I’ve been enjoying going racing in the series.

“We’ve got 13 rounds this year and these days we really don’t get to spend time sitting in the race car. Testing is cut down so much it feels like you’re almost a part-time race car driver with the amount of racing that we do.

“For me it’s about driving race cars that still handle pretty good, doing pit stops and driver changes, which is stuff that we do just on a fun level.”
