The APC Enduro Championship is a national endurance racing category featuring three-hour races, performance-based classes and affordable, accessible competition for a wide range of cars and competitors.

How much prize money is on offer?

Each round offers $6,000 in prize money, distributed across outright and class results.

What licences are required to compete?

APC runs under AASA, offering lower-cost competition licences compared to traditional alternatives.

How many drivers can I run?

Teams may run up to three drivers per car, helping to reduce individual costs and increase flexibility.

What is the race format?

Each round is a two-day event featuring practice, qualifying and a single three-hour endurance race.

Why are events run over two days?

Two-day meetings reduce costs, limit time away from work, and free up Sundays, making the series more family-friendly.

How are classes structured?

Classes are based on self-nominated performance time brackets, ensuring close, fair racing across a wide variety of cars.

What cars are eligible?

Both self-built/shop-built cars and manufacturer-built race cars are eligible, with relaxed technical rules focused on reliability and enforceability.

What tyres are permitted?

Competitors can use any Australian DOT-rated tyre (excl twin-groove), keeping costs down and choice open.

How does refuelling work?

APC offers flexible and affordable refuelling options, designed to suit a broad range of competitors and budgets.

Will races be live streamed?

Yes. All qualifying sessions and races feature live, broadcast-quality streaming, providing strong exposure for teams and sponsors.

Are there corporate or passenger experiences?

Yes. Most rounds include corporate suite access and passenger ride sessions, adding value for teams and partners.

What is the paddock environment like?

APC promotes a community-driven paddock, with an open, welcoming atmosphere for competitors, families and sponsors.

How is the category managed?

Can I heavily modify my car beyond a traditional production car?

No. APC is designed to maintain the production-car DNA of each vehicle.

The bodywork, aero and overall appearance must remain consistent with the production model being represented, and the engine must be the same model that was originally available in that car and use OEM head and block castings.

To support reliability and cost control, OEM mechanical components may be replaced with more durable or serviceable alternatives, and engine modifications and intake systems are free. This approach allows competitors to improve reliability and performance without turning cars into silhouette or prototype-style builds.

Are dry sump systems or alternative fuels permitted?

No. Dry sump systems are not permitted unless fitted as factory, and all cars must run on commercially available 98-octane pump fuel only. No alternative fuels, race fuels or blends are allowed.

Can I run a factory-built production-based race car (e.g. GT4, M240iR, Ginetta etc.)?

Yes. Factory-built, production-based race cars are eligible to compete in APC, provided they comply with the APC technical regulations and are entered into the appropriate performance time bracket.

These cars compete alongside self-built and shop-built entries under the same class structure, ensuring fair and competitive racing based on performance rather than build type.
