30 May Hadrian Morrall converts practice pace into pole for opening Sydney encounter
The Parramatta Vehicle Services Ford Mustang Mach 1 of Hadrian Morrall will start from pole position for the opening race of Round 1 for the Hi-Tec Oils APC Enduro Championships at Sydney Motorsport Park.
It was a battle of the two A2 Class Mustangs as Morrall secured pole following a session-long dual with Trent Whyte, but a tyre problem for the Ultimate Diesel Tuning Mach 1 ended his pursuit.
Morrall was fastest on a 1m 41.180s to snatch pole by 0.075s from White, with Grant Inwood driving the A1 Towing Bathurst 1M E82 third and first in A1 Class.
Sharing the second row with the BMW is Chris Gunther in the FG Motorsport Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG, while Allan Jarvis put in a giant killing performance to place the T0A57D Motorsport Volkswagen Polo GTi in fifth outright.
Rounding out the field was David Ling in his FPV GT and Oskar Butt for PB Motorsport Services steering its Holden Astra HSV VXR.
The opening 30-minute race to kick of the season is scheduled for 7:05pm AEST featuring live on SBS Viceland, Fox Sports and Kayo.
