“I’ve never sat in a production car before and Friday will be when I stick my toe in the water to experience it for the first time,” said Hayman.

“I first met Griffo last year when I started in GT4 and we started chatting around the paddock.

“The relationship has grown from there where I’ll be sharing the Mercedes-Benz with Griffo this weekend.

“It’s going to be a pretty good weekend and the competition is going to be fierce. I know the Mercedes-Benz Griffo owns is a good thing and it will be competitive in the class.

“It’ll be pretty different to go racing at night in a production car compared to the Trans Am or GT4. I think it’ll be pretty cool to do one of these races at night and an awesome experience.

“It’s great to have some experienced drivers join the field and it’ll be good to go up against those guys to see how I compare.”
