Brad Carr continues CMA Car Mods Australia Mustang’s golden run

It’s two from two for the CMA Car Mods Australia Ford Mustang at Queensland Raceway after Brad Carr replicated co-driver Lindsay Kearns’ earlier success to take victory in Race 2 ahead of the Sherrin Rentals Fight in the Night.

Carr finished just 0.961s ahead of the Parramatta Vehicle Services Mustang of Hadrian Morrall as Matt McCutcheon rounded out the podium in the Game Over Chevrolet Camaro.

It was Morrall leading the way early after winning the start from Carr and the Ultimate Diesel Tuning Ford Mustang of Trent Whyte, McCutcheon and Ben Gersekowski in the KCK Lubricants BMW M3 E92.

Carr was able to slide past early in the event, but the pressure remained from Morrall and McCutcheon throughout the shortened affair.

Whyte scored fourth from a trio of BMW’s led by the Class B1 winning Gersekowski, Maika Ter Horst in the Speedcafe.com M4 F82 scoring victory in Class X and Paul Buccini’s 340i, which sealed the deal in Class B1.

Class A1 was won by Mark Griffith driving the Grifcorp Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG in eighth outright ahead of the Class C victor Jake Camilleri in his Mazda 3 MPS and Jesse Dixon took out Class D in a masterful recovery drive following an opening race incident for the Kirksworks BMW 130i.

Although the race went uninterrupted, a major failure for the Prime Motorsport Holden Astra OPC of Andrew Milford led to a spectacular smoke screen enveloping the front straight.

Next up for the Hi-Tec Oils APC Enduro Championships is the Sherrin Rentals Fight in the Night at 5:10pm to be live-streamed via the SuperSeries.Official YouTube Channel.
