MONOCHROME EXCITED FOR GT4 AUSTRALIA FUTURE

MONOCHROME EXCITED FOR GT4 AUSTRALIA FUTURE

Following the opening round of the 2023 Monochrome GT4 Australia championship season at Phillip Island at the weekend, Jeff Yew – Founder and Chief Executive Officer of naming rights sponsor, Monochrome – said he is excited about what lays ahead for the burgeoning category.

Crypto-asset infrastructure solutions group Monochrome’s specialist services include funds management, asset servicing, transaction services, and more; all delivered with an emphasis on regulation and investor protection.

While Monochrome GT4 Australia made its debut at Bathurst across Easter with non-championship sprint races, the weekend marked the first official championship event for the new category, which is running a six-round calendar this year alongside the Mobil 1 Australian Production Cars ahead of moving to a standalone grid in 2024.

Yew was on-site at Phillip Island, and said he was excited about what lays ahead.

“What a great start we have had to the Monochrome GT4 Australia championship,” Yew said.

“The support from competitors, fans and the media which the category is receiving already is really encouraging, and it is clear that the growth trajectory for Monochrome GT4 Australia is looking really strong.

“It might only be early in our 2023 season, but already we are excited about what the future holds, especially with the move to a standalone grid in 2024.”

Monochrome has had a consistent involvement in Australian motorsports over recent years, including supporting drivers such as Craig Lowndes, David Wall and Liam Talbot in Porsche Carrera Cup Australia since 2021, and being an official event partner of the 2022 Gold Coast 500 and 2023 Bathurst 12 Hour.

“Supporting Australian motorsports is something we are very passionate about at Monochrome,” Yew said.

“As we said in the announcement of our partnership, we believe GT4 Australia has an exciting future ahead, so we are pleased to be a part of supporting its growth.

“Already we are seeing an absolute buzz around the category, with new drivers and cars expected to join in increasing rates across the year.

“The future certainly is looking bright, and we are so excited to be a part of it.”
